Why is it blue?

The colour of the asset.

GHK-Cu is a tripeptide bound to a copper ion. This complex is naturally blue: the colour of your serum is that of the active ingredient, with no added colouring. It is also the blue of covellite, the copper mineral that gave the brand its name.

As you use up the bottle, the colour may vary slightly: this is normal.

The ritual

Three to four drops.

  1. Apply to clean, dry skin, in the morning or evening.
  2. Use the pipette to dispense three to four drops. Apply to the forehead, cheeks and chin.
  3. Smooth from the centre of the face outwards, down to the neck. Leave on for thirty seconds.
  4. Follow this with your moisturiser. In the morning, finish by applying sun protection.

Along with the other serums. Vitamin C in the morning, copper peptide in the evening. Retinol every other evening. The other serums in the range should be applied before your moisturiser, starting with the lightest and working up to the richest.

The story

From Vesuvius to your pipette.

In 1832, a blue mineral identified on Mount Vesuvius was named after Nicola Covelli: covellite, a copper sulphide with a bronze sheen. GHK-Cu shares this blue hue and this copper. Maison Covelli was born out of this coincidence, and the desire to create precise, gentle and honest serums.

Can it be used morning and evening?
Yes, unless otherwise stated in the routine above. If you’re also using vitamin C, save that for the morning.
How long does a bottle last?
One 30 ml bottle covers around six to eight weeks, at three or four drops, once or twice a day.
Is the serum suitable for use during pregnancy?
This is a cosmetic product that complies with European regulations. As a precaution, seek advice from a healthcare professional.
How should it be stored?

What is the concentration of the GHK-Cu?

Why does the colour vary from one bottle to another?
The blue colour comes from the active ingredient itself, with no added colouring: slight variations from one batch to the next are to be expected.

Yes, alternate between them: use the copper peptide one evening and retinol the next.
